They had little time to prepare. On Saturday November 6, the inhabitants of the south facade of the Obélisque Tower of Epinay-sur-Seine (Seine-Saint-Denis) received a letter in their letterboxes asking them to vacate the building before… Wednesday 10 November, four days later. The inhabitants of the other facades have until December 8 to pack their bags.
The reason: a prefectural decree on urgent security, which follows several alarming expert reports on the risks of the balconies of this 32-storey tower housing 164 apartments collapsing.
