Firefighters rescue worker who fell into 20-metre-deep grain depot in northwest China
Firefighters rescued a worker who fell into a 20-metre-deep grain depot in northwest China.
Video filmed in Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on December 7 shows firemen using shovels and their hands to clear up the corn around the worker before using safety ropes to lift him up.
According to reports, more than 4,000-tonnes of cracked corn kernels were stocked in the deep depot and the worker accidentally fell inside with only his head above the grain.
After around 4 hours, the worker was rescued successfully.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
