This is the moment police in Auckland, New Zealand stopped a driver at gunpoint in the middle of a busy street before handcuffing him and taking him away.

Footage shows the incident that took place on on Symonds Street, Auckland on Saturday at around 2:40pm.

"It seemed that the police had been chasing the driver for sometime," the filmer told Newsflare. "They managed to block his car in and pull their rifles on him, yelling at the driver to get out of the car, which he didn't do. The police eventually handcuff the driver through the window and arrest him."
