Football legend's stollen watch worth $26,413 gets recovered in northeastern India

A watching belonging to late football legend Diego Maradona got recovered in northeastern India's Assam on December 11 after it went missing in Dubai. The incident took place in Khumatai in Charaideo district. 

Visuals shot on December 12 feature the watch resting on a counter. The blue-black device has a meticulous design with a footballer's image on the back. Later, the cops take the culprit in custody and reveal the details of the case. 

Diego Armando Maradona, an Argentine professional football player, died of a heart attack in November 2020 and was regarded as one of the greatest players. 

The police recovered his limited single edition Hublot luxury watch worth Rs 20 lakh (USD 26,413) from an Assam resident who used to work in Dubai and returned to India recently. He worked as a domestic helper at the football star's home. Moreover, the cops also retrieved other memorabilia like clothes, Ipads, caps, lighter, etc.,  and apprehended the culprit, identified as Wazid Hussain.
