An elephant chased after the onlookers while relocating with its herd in northern India's Assam on December 12. The incident took place in the Dolaguri Tea Estate region.

Visuals feature an elephant herd crossing over from the adjacent forest cover. Bewildered, the locals yell at the jumbos and parade after them to behold the experience. Returning the enthusiasm, a jumbo runs towards the locals, gripping them with terror. Later, the pachyderm gives up the chase and joins its herd in walking past the region.

The elephants in the region are known for straying off their corridors to look for food. They often relocate across the farmlands, making the locals familiar with such incidents.
