BMKG released the potential for a tsunami due to the earthquake in Larantuka, including NTT, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, NTB, and Maluku.

It is known, the earthquake occurred at 112 kilometers northwest of Larantuka at coordinates 7.59 south latitude and 122.26 east longitude with a depth of 12 kilometers.

The BMKG said the earthquake had the potential to cause a tsunami, especially in the areas of NTT, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, NTB, Maluku. The public is asked to be aware of the threat of this disaster.
