This is the moment people at a hospital in Indonesia flee the building after a 7.3-magnitude earthquake hit off the country's east coast on Tuesday (December 14).

Footage shows locals fleeing in panic as the tremors were felt inside a building in Sulawesi Selatan province in southern Indonesia. Children and people in wheelchairs are seen in the video.

The United States Geological Survey said the quake struck 112 kilometres north of Maumere town in the province of East Nusa Tenggara at 3:20 UTC. It was recorded at a depth of 18.5 kilometres.

There were no immediate reports of damage, but early tsunami warnings have been issued for the regions of Maluku, East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara and Southeast and South Sulawesi, the local meteorological agency said.
