A man dragged a woman from the back of a scooter after having an argument with her in southern China.

Video filmed in the city of Guilin in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on December 11 shows a man riding along a road while dragging a woman from the back of his scooter.

According to reports, the scooter rider named Zhao had an argument with a woman named Zhou after a traffic accident.

Zhou grabbed Zhao's bag and refused to let him go. But Zhao forced to drive away, dragging Zhou at the back of his scooter for dozens of metres.

Zhou's clothes were damaged and she suffered minor injuries.

Zhao surrendered himself to the police station at night due to pressure.

Police detained him for 10 days and fined him 200 yuan (£24).

12月11日，在广西桂林市虞山桥上，一男子骑着电动车行驶，车后方竟拖着一名抓着车不放手的女子。此事被旁人记录下来，经劝阻，男子留下女子后加速驾车离开。
11日15点，桂林市七星分局东江派出所接到群众110报警称：“在虞山桥头一男子与一女子因车辆刮碰发生纠纷，男子在骑电动车离开时将女子拖拽受伤。”
接警后，民警迅速赶赴现场，通过调取现场监控视频、询问目击证人等调查取证工作，已查清违法事实。
具体经过：12月11日15点，周某连与赵某在桂林市七星区虞山桥头城市照明管理处门口因交通事故发生口角纠纷。
周某连抓住该男子的挎包带子不让赵某离开，赵某强行离开，并驾驶电动车往虞山桥方向行驶。周某连被拖拽前行数十米，造成周某连身上衣物损坏，身体受轻微伤。
案发当晚20点，嫌疑人赵某迫于压力，到东江派出所投案自首。赵某的行为不仅给周某连带来伤害，也造成恶劣的社会影响。
七星公安分局根据《中华人民共和国治安管理处罚法》第四十三条之规定，对赵某行政拘留10日并处罚款200元。目前，违法行为人赵某已被依法执行拘留。
赵某对自己的违法行为感到懊悔，对带给周某连的伤害感到自责，并向周某连表示诚挚歉意。（视频由广西台提供）
