Horse-drawn carriage crashes into car on Chinese road
A horse-drawn carriage crashed into a car on a road in eastern China.
CCTV footage filmed in the city of Qufu in Shandong Province on December 11 shows a horse sliding toward and rear-ending a black car that was trying to avoid a biker by slowing down at an intersection.
The motorist named Song said he slowed down to avoid a biker when he was turning left, but a horse-drawn carriage behind it was too close to it and could not brake in time. The horse then crashed into Song's car.
Since neither the car nor the horse-drawn carriage was at fast speed, the horse stood up immediately after falling down.
Song said he found that the rear light of his car was damaged.
According to Song, horse-drawn carriage sightseeing is one of the local tourism characteristics. It is quite normal to see horse-drawn carriages on the streets.
The case is under further investigation.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
