Geminid meteors tore across the night skies above the Swiss Alps in the early hours of this morning (December 14).

Olivier Staiger captured this real-time footage with a Sony a7s2 and a Sigma 20/1.4 lens from his garden in Vétroz.

saw many geminid meteors .
Observed from my backyard in Vétroz, Valais canton , in the swiss Alps.
filmed some in realtime video ( Sony a7s2, Sigma 20/1.4 ).
waited for moonset to have dark skies after.
watched moonset behind a mountain at 1.30AM, then over an hour more for real dark skies.
also had some ground fog from snow and cold air . Sometimes there was quite some ground fog and only a few bright stars were visible, and a few brighter meteors. But again and again the fog disappeared and I could see much more stars , sky and meteors.
