Orphaned albino elephant Khanyisa enjoys life out with her new herd after recovering from horrific injuries caused by a poacher's snare.

Video shot in May 2020 shows her trotting along between older members of the herd, avoiding being stepped on despite being just inches from the giant feet of the bigger elephants.

Khanyisa was rescued from a poacher's snare in January 2020 and came to Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Development for rehabilitation and care.

Since going through three months of rehabilitation for the horrific wounds caused by the snare, Khanyisa has been integrated into the Jabulani herd of rescued elephants and now spends her days out in the wild with them.
