Impressive footage shared by Jenna Taylor shows how one can rely on automation to cat-proof their Christmas tree.

"My husband and I were trying to put up our Christmas tree, and our cats would not leave it alone," Jenna told us. "We were trying to think of a way to keep the cats away, and my husband, who has recently become really interested in home automation, thought there had to be a way to automate something so we didn’t have to chase them away every time.

"Cats hate vacuums, and hence this idea was born. And guess what? It even works at night!"

For those confused, the vacuum cleaner (already plugged in) turns on when the motion sensors on the air canister detect any movement.
