Man chases elephant after being chased himself in northeastern India
A man ran after a jumbo after the jumbo chased him in northeastern India's Assam on December 16. The incident took place in the Dolaguri Tea Estate region.
Visuals feature the elephant chasing a man amid the tea estate. The jumbo runs after the local as the panic-stricken onlookers behold the experience from afar. However, within moments, the man gathers courage and faces the pachyderm. He begins hot-footing towards the elephant, following which the jumbo flees the scene.
The elephants in the region are known for straying away from their corridors and emerging near the civilization. They often interact with humans resulting in such man-animal incidents.
