Locals parade around elephant in eastern India
The amused locals paraded around an elephant that strayed out of the woods in eastern India's West Bengal on December 17. The incident took place in Nayagram.
Visuals feature the elephant walking on the road. The jumbo tours the region at its own pace while the curious locals gather around to behold the experience. Bewilderment grips them upon spotting the lone pachyderm, and they begin parading around it.
The elephants in the region are known for straying off their corridors to look for food. They often emerge on the roads, giving the onlookers a sight to cherish.
