STORYLINE:
The Israeli occupation army last night detained six Palestinians during a raid of Silat al-Harithiya town, northwest of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, and a seventh Palestinian from Jenin refugee camp, according to Palestinian security and local sources.
Israeli soldiers raided and thoroughly searched a number of homes and terrorized their residents in Silat al-Harithiya, before they detained seven Palestinians, including two brothers, Ghaith and Omar Ahmad Jaradat.
A seventh Palestinian from Jenin refugee camp was also arrested at a temporary Israeli military checkpoint near the town of Silat ad-Dhahr, to the south of Jenin.
Meantime, the Israeli occupation army stormed the town of Beit Ummar, in the southern West Bank province of Hebron, and raided and searched at least one home for a local Palestinian citizen, but there were no reports of detentions.
The occupation army also set up temporary checkpoints at the entrance to Hebron city and the neighboring town of Idhna.
Almost on a daily basis, Israeli occupation forces carry out raids targeting populated Palestinian communities for arrests or searches. The practice, mostly carried out at nighttime, has become a routine under Israeli military regime.
