Wimborne Market Closing After 165 Years on this Site, Sunday 19th December For Trading
Wimborne Market is an historic market in a large covered structure in Wimborne Minster, Dorset, England. It will cease to trade on 19 December 2021 will be its final day of the market after 165 years of trading. The market will be demolished and the land will be redeveloped and built on.
Excessively high business rates have been blamed for the closure of the market along with a change in shopping trends.
Many residents of the town have taken to social media and called it a sad day for Wimborne.
