An illegal weed farm went up in smoke when a cannabis grow house set light to the roof of a building in Nottingham, UK, on Saturday 18 September.

The blaze was caught on camera by Sherie Morley, who witnessed the smoke pouring through the roof as it was destroyed.

Emergency services attended the scene and put out the fire.

Local reports said police also discovered the electricity meter had been bypassed, in order to run heat lamps used by the farm.

"A house full of cannabis plants was on fire and I caught it on video," the filmer said.

This footage was filmed in the Aspley area of the city.

The dramatic clip shows smoke from the fire penetrating through the roof of the house, destroying it in the process.

This video also contains a shot of the fire rescue team on the scene.

Additionally, viewers are shown a glimpse of the horrid aftermath of the incident in question.
