Video captured the moment of Vietnamese fishermen trying to rescue fish rafts sunk by big waves by Super Typhoon Rai in Khanh Hoa, Vietnam.
According to the fishermen, the terrible waves caused their fishing raft to break anchor and drift. They tried their best to save the remaining rafts of fish. Waves between 6 and 8 meters high failed their attempt and their raft was completely destroyed. They can only keep a small part of the hundreds of fish rafts.
Their area is hardly affected by storms. This was the worst storm they had ever seen. Fortunately, the storm did not make landfall directly.
Super Typhoon Rai with winds of more than 300 km/h is considered the strongest storm to appear in the waters of Vietnam. The storm was only 200km from shore, but its power and destruction left the central coastal provinces devastated.
