Chinese man climbs water pipe to save elderly man hanging upside down on balcony
A Chinese man climbed up a water pipe to save an elderly man hanging upside down from a balcony in southern China.
Filmed in Chengdu, Sichuan province, the elderly man was seen hanging from the second-floor balcony guardrail by one leg.
At the critical moment, a man named Hua Dong climbed up a water pipe from ground level and finally dragged his aged neighbour away from danger. The whole rescue took about 10 minutes.
It’s reported that the elderly man’s apartment was locked by his family who had gone out. He then tried to go out via the balcony, when he accidentally fell.
The video was filmed on December 18 and provided by local media with permission.
