An amusing video has emerged of an MC announcing the winners of a raffle with impressive gusto despite a comically small turnout at a festival in County Sligo, Ireland.

The footage, captured at the Riverstown Vintage Festival in May, shows the announcer using all his powers of rhetoric to try to excite the modest crowd.

At one point in the video, a family whizz past in a bizarre motorised vehicle made out of a lawnmower and a series of barrels attached to each other.

Writing online about the experience, the filmer said: "Classic Irish optimism, in the face of no crowd, the local MC presents with great vigour. “
