An 18-month-old toddler crawls onto the roof of a house as he escapes his father's attention in Indonesia.

Footage filmed in Bantul, Yogyakarta's special region province, Tuesday, December 21, shows the child crawling on a 10-foot roof tile, as his father behind him calls out to him to back off.

Residents who saw the boy's actions felt anxious and worried that the roof tiles would collapse because they could not bear their weight.

Bondan, a neighbor who filmed the moment, said that at first the father named Kardi held his son when they played with the pigeons.

"Kardi put his son on the floor, then closed the birdcage. He turned around and was shocked when he saw his son crawling on the roof near the aviary," Bondan said.

Kardi manages to reach his son after holding on carefully on the tile makes for a happy ending.
