In a shocking incident, a man was whipped off his feet while holding on to the rope of a kite, got lifted up high into the air until he dramatically let go and fell.

Filmed on December 20 at a kite-flying game at Point Pedro in Jaffna in Sri Lanka, the footage shows the man clinging to the rope and getting pulled off the ground.

He was lifted as high as 10 metres before he was pulled lower and dropped down onto a field, thankfully sustaining only minor injuries.
