Speeding pickup truck rams into barbershop in Thailand
An out-of-control pickup truck smashed into a barbershop while customers were getting haircuts in Thailand.
The 46-year-old driver named Manoj said he was travelling home when he reportedly started to feel dizzy, causing him to swerve out of the road and crash into the shop's entrance.
CCTV footage shows the moment the vehicle rammed through the glass doors in Tak province on December 21.
Three people were injured in the accident injured, including a couple who were waiting for a haircut and the daughter of the shop owner. They were all taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Shelves inside the neighbouring convenience store were scattered all over the place while chairs, haircutting tools, and a refrigerator inside the barbershop were completely wrecked.
Shop owner Noppadon, 45, said: ‘My wife and I run the convenience store and the barbershop. Fortunately, my daughter and I managed to jump away when the truck crashed.’
Police arrived at the scene and interviewed Manoj before taking him away from blood tests. He was later released without being charged and ordered to pay for the damage to the shop or co-ordinate with his insurance company.
