While people are trying to reduce the use of plastic across the country, a tea stall has introduced edible cups which can be eaten after consuming hot beverages in central India's Madhya Pradesh. Visuals shot on December 22 feature the youngsters preparing tea in Shahdol.

The video features the young men opening their popular stall in the city that serves tea in edible biscuit cups to reduce the use of plastic cups. They further prepare tea for their customers and serve them in broad daylight while the locals take a sip of the hot beverage and savour the taste of the tea.

The startup owners of Alhad Kulhad, identified as Rinku Arora and Piyush Kushwaha, came up with this innovative idea of selling tea in edible biscuit cups with the aim to reduce the usage of other disposable alternatives that harm the human body or require trees to be cut. This is a step forward in reducing their negative ecological impact and massive carbon footprint while the cup of tea costs just Rs. 20 (USD 0.27).
