Tornado (EF 4) damage destruction and relief efforts Dawson Springs, Kentucky #3

On Monday December 2021, Lower Augusta Volunteer Fire Department set off to provide disaster relief to areas hit by the December 10, 2021 tornadoes
Crews began the trek down with 13 towable trailers and 2 tractor trailers which were all packed full of food, clothes, cleaning supplies and Christmas toys for the areas that were devastated.
Lower Augusta crews were joined by firefighters from Sacramento Fire Company in Schuylkill county and personnel from County Turf and Trail.
Once crews arrived in the hard hit area they separated and delivered supplies all over the area as they were needed. While Sacramento and Country Turf and Trail crews headed back to the area on Wednesday, Lower Augusta crew headed back into the damaged areas to help with clean up and lend a hand where needed.
They spent most of the day in the Dawson Springs area helping clean up and haul away debris. Once done there they headed into Mayfield to drop off some supply hose for firefighters who entire station was demolished.
