Women constables save man from committing suicide on railway tracks in western India

A group of women constables saved the life of a 59-year-old man who was about to commit suicide by laying on the railway tracks in western India's Maharashtra on December 27. The incident took place at Sewri station.

CCTV footage feature the man appearing on the railway tracks and laying amid it while a train approaches him in broad daylight. Following this, the group of vigilant women constables run to save the man's life and pick him up from the tracks to avoid any mishap while the train halts at a distance.

The man, who has been identified as Madhukar Sable, laid himself down at the tracks, while an incoming train was approaching the station, with an intent to end his life. However, a group of women officers rushed to his rescue.
