This is the heartwarming moment a woman from Texas surprised a boy for Christmas by turning up unannounced at a restaurant.

Footage captured by Missy Sohn in Charlotte North Caronia shows her son Bentley's surprise as close family friend Nathalie Smith walks in, taps him on the shoulder and asks "is this seat taken?"

The two then have a long hug.

"My son, Bentley, and I were in Charlotte for the Panthers game and I found out a few days prior that my best friend, Natalie, would be in town as well for a work event," Sohn said.

"Natalie has been a huge part of my son's life, and my own, for almost 10 years. Basically, she is family to us. She lives in Texas, we live in NC," she added.

'Unexpected reunions spark reactions that can't be duplicated in any way whatsoever, and this amusing footage is proof of the same.

Filmed by Missy Sohn, this clip shows her son getting a surprise visit from Natalie Santin, a family friend of theirs.
