Repairmen narrowly escape tyre explosion during pump-up in China
Two repairmen narrowly escaped a tyre explosion during a pump-up in northern China.
In the CCTV footage captured in Fushun, Liaoning province, the repairmen were standing near a truck, which was having one of its tyres pumped, when the tyre suddenly exploded and bounced off.
The repairmen quickly covered their ears and ran away.
The shop owner said that it was more than 20 degrees below zero that day, and the tires were frozen. The repairmen did not notice the creases and traces of crushing on the tires and began the pump-up.
The force of the explosion is believed to have equalled that of a small landmine. Luckily no one was hurt.
The video was filmed on December 28 and provided by local media with permission.
