Chinese man buys new car with 170 bags of loose change
A man in northern China bought a car with 170 bags of loose coins.
In the video, filmed in Linyi, Shandong province, the man drove his truck carrying 170 bags of coins, which totalled to 130,000 yuan (about £15,171), saved by the man over many years.
The manager of the car shop then sent the 170 bags of coins to the bank for counting.
Most of the coins are 1 cent and it already took the bank staff 3 hours to only count 400 yuan (about £46).
The video was filmed on December 29 and provided by local media with permission.
According to the latest report, the bank staff has counted all coins within their working hour today on December 31 and the man has bought the car with the coins.
