Emergency Hospitals Covid-19 crisis critical incidents coronavirus hospitalisations UK
Visiting at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust continues to be temporarily suspended due to the increasing prevalence of COVID-19 in the local community.
NHS leaders have been accused of downplaying the impact of the Covid crisis and putting hospitals under scrutiny for declaring critical incidents and postponing surgeries.
Chris Hopson, the head of NHS Providers, which represents trusts, warned coronavirus hospitalisations were "rapidly increasing outside London".
A leaked email urges hospitals to use the “correct terminology” and make NHS leaders aware when declaring their status.
Visiting West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust are temporarily suspended from Saturday 1 January 2022, due to the increasing prevalence of COVID-19 in the local community.
