florists and flower farmers complain about low demand for flowers along with a ban on exporting flowers. This is attributed to the outbreak of Covid-19 and the accompanying closures during the last two years. In this respect, bereaved farmers and florists voiced their hopes in enacting facilitative measures that would allow them to export flowers to Europe and other countries.

The latest reports and statistics indicate that Gaza farmers exported some 60 million flowers a year to Europe before Israel banned exports altogether after the 2014 war on the Gaza Strip.
