A rescue dog has gone viral on TikTok after singing along to his favourite songs - but has picky taste.

Sarah Krook, 36, a hairstylist from British Columbia, Canada, lives with her three dogs, Weenie, 14, French Fry, eight and Oscar, seven.

Oscar, a terrier mix, was rescued by Sarah in June 2015, after he was abandoned on the streets of Thailand.

Sarah knew that Oscar was special from the moment she first saw him - but has only recently discovered the very unique talent of his.

Sarah said: “I only realised Oscar liked to sing this year.

“I used to always have the television on in the background whilst I was home to muffle the noises outside, so the dogs wouldn’t bark.

“I changed over to music instead of the television once and I realised that there were certain songs that triggered him to sing along.

“Love Yourself by Justin Bieber was the first one, followed very shortly by Can’t Touch This by MC Hammer.

"At first, I wasn't sure whether he liked it or not.

"He's a pretty sensitive guy, so I figured he was just getting it out of his system."

Sarah started to play music more frequently and realised that only certain songs would make Oscar belt out a few notes.

She took to TikTok to share Oscar's hidden talent and has since racked up 24,800 followers.

In one video, Sarah shared Oscar’s favourite songs, which has since been viewed 4.3 million times and has 756,000 likes so far.

“I think they are all mostly E major songs, so he might like tones and beats from that scale,” one viewer commented.

Another viewer added: “Maybe you just overplayed them and he’s like NOOOOOOOOOOOO.”

“Patiently waiting for Charlie Puth to tell us what’s going on and what key the dog is singing in,” one person commented, followed by a laughing face emoji.

“His voice is like a combination of Fergie and Jesus,” another person said.

Another viewer added: “Can’t touch this came on and he said wooooo.. And he loves the verve.. This dog is from the 90s.”

Sarah is grateful for the response they’ve received on TikTok and hopes to bring more attention to how amazing special needs dogs are.

Oscar’s other favourite songs include, Love on the Brain by Rhianna, Piano Man by Billy Joel, Toxic by Britney Spears and The Scientist by Coldplay.
