The empty from tourists streets and canals of Amsterdam during the 4 week lockdown imposed by the government to prevent the spread of Omicron Covid variant, one of the first nations to apply a lockdown during the Christmas period. Shops, little stores or big business are closed with the rolling metal shutters down and a complete decline in tourism as all the non essentials shops, cultural places, restaurants, bars, cafes, museums, gyms etc are closed during the lockdown against the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic. The lockdown measures probably will not be lifted as planned in mid January.
