Snow blows across Northern Ireland mountain before sunset in stunning winter scene
Stunning drone footage captured the first major snow of the season on Northern Ireland's Sperrin mountains on Friday, just before sunset.
"First good snow day of the season here in Northern Ireland, the blowing snow looked spectacular on the Sperrins," said filmer Martin McKenna, an experienced drone pilot. "This is Moneyneany before sunset, with streamers of snow blowing across the summit during last light."
McKenna describes himself as an amateur astronomer, storm chaser and photographer based in Northern Ireland.
Sperrin comes from the old Irish word "speirín," meaning "little pinnacle."
