Spotting an elephant in the wild is not that easy but here one lucky filmer caught a whole parade of several of the majestic giants, strolling down a Sri Lanka backroad.

The footage filmed on December 31 shows five elephants walking past the camera in line-like formation, one of them with a set of awe-inspiring giant tusks.

A magnificent tusker refused to stay alone amid the greenery in Sri Lanka's North Central Province on December 31. The incident took place in the town of Polonnaruwa of the eponymous district.

Visuals feature two male elephants walking in front, as well as behind the tusker in daylight after appearing out of the forest cover. After emerging onto the road, they stroll in a line-like formation and drift away before walking back to the same region.

The huge tusker is always spotted with a couple of male elephants in the villages as it does not prefer visiting the national parks. Moreover, it chooses to hide amid the jumbos, and during the night the herd invades the paddy fields. In case of scarcity of food, they storm the gardens and retreat to the woods by morning.
