A unique school in central India teaches children to write with both hands.

Footage captured on January 8 at the Veena Vadini school in Budhela in Madhya Pradesh showed the pupils hard at work with both hands scribbling away on their exercise books.

The founder of the unusual educational establishment, Virangat Prasad Sharma, says his students benefit enormously from being ambidextrous.

"If regular students write a paper in three hours, these students can finish it in a maximum of one hour or one and a half hours," said Sharma.

The school, however, is facing closure with staff threatening to quit after going unpaid for six months.

Veena Vadini was founded in 1999 and academics from South Korea and the UK have visited to research ambidexterity.

The incredible footage shows around the talented students in action, writing with both their left and right hands easily. They sit on the ground and place the notebooks on their laps, following which they write with their both hands.

The school is famous for teaching the students to write with both hands but is now on the verge of closing down.

The founder of the institution Virangat Prasad Sharma thinks that his students are twice agile than others can even think of.

Mr Sharma explains: 'When a new student comes, I let them settle in for two to three days and after that, I ask them to write.

'If regular students write a paper in three hours, these students can finish it in a maximum of one hour or one and a half hours.'

Apart from teaching the general curriculum, the school encourages its students to learn different languages, and a majority of the students are able to read and write English, Hindi, Urdu, and Sanskrit.

The administration at the school has been unable to pay staff for the past six months, who are now threatening to quit.

The school was established in the year 1999 and scholars from South Korea and the UK have visited the school to do research on ambidexterity.
