While human beings are confined to their homes due to the weekend lockdown across India, dogs, cows and birds were spotted freely roaming in the streets of Delhi. All key roads were blocked for public movement and only essential services are permitted.

Delhi has recorded 20,181 new COVID cases on Saturday (January 8), the highest single-day rise since May last year. The capital city also reported 7 deaths over the last 24 hours.

Footage filmed on 8th Jan shows dogs relaxing on the busy streets of Delhi and pigeons are assembled in large numbers. Animal activists feed these birds and animals as they are left with no food during the lockdown period.
