This is the heart-stopping moment a fearless man jumped from a tree several feet high and dived into a pool in the Philippines.

Tourist Efelen Butigan filmed the daredevil climbing onto a flimsy branch before plummeting into the turquoise water of the Blue Hole Spring in Cebu, the Philippines.

Onlookers screamed as the man leapt and braved the dizzying height before emerging unharmed.

Efelen said: ‘When we saw him climb, we were afraid of what might happen to him. But when he jumped, our fear disappeared because he was able to get down safely.

‘However, the town officers have banned diving from the tree. They have also posted guards to prevent accidents because the stunt is too dangerous.’
