Station guards rescue man who falls under a moving train in Western India
A passenger who fell while attempting to board a moving train in Mumbai, India, was pulled from danger by two station guards.
The incident happened at Dadar railway station on 12 January.
The man was hanging on to a handle on the side of a train, attempting to jump on, when he slipped and fell. His upper body was then dragged under the moving train.
Ganesh Korde, the home guard on duty, ran after him, followed by fellow guard Deepak Sakorde. They pulled the man to safety.
He was admitted to the JJ hospital for treatment. Both the home guards have been praised for their quick actions.
It is common practice to board moving trains in India, despite the dangers.
