A toy museum in Thailand houses more than 50,000 nostalgic superhero and anime collectibles.

The Batcat Museum and Toys Thailand in Bangkok is the brainchild of hobbyist Somchai Nitinmongkolchai, who has been amassing the collectible merchandise for more than 10 years. It was named after two famous superheroes in the DC universe - Gotham City's dark knight, Batman, and the villain-turned-antihero, Catwoman.

The toy exhibit displays cabinets showcasing the evolution of Batman from the 1960s to the present. Footage shows glass cases containing figurines, life-sized mannequins, and costumes from across different Batman eras, including the classic animated series, Tim Burton's 1989 film adaptation, as well as Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy.

Aside from the impressive Batman historical shrine, visitors can also explore the museum's Movie Heroes section, where iconic characters such as Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man, and bizarrely, even Mr. Bean, are kept.

Meanwhile, the Super Sentai and Robots zone, which occupies the building's entire third floor, was opened for anime lovers who want to reminisce about old-school Power Rangers-style shows. The area features miniatures of giant mecha robots like Daidenjin, Hikari Sentai Maskman figurines, and Astro Boy models, among others.

Because the collectibles are rare and in mint condition, each glass cabinet reportedly costs about a million baht each, Somchai claims.

After visiting the museum, customers can relax in the BatBarang cafe and try its signature 'Justice League' drink, a tri-coloured Italian soda made with different kinds of syrup.

Batcat Museum and Toys Thailand is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 5pm.
