A massive fire sparked by an explosion in the Longwood section of the Bronx, New York City that caused a partial building collapse Tuesday (January 18) at around noon.

Video taken by DaPeoplesAssemblyNYC on Twitter showed the harrowing aftermath, with the filmer exclaiming "the whole house blew up."

"I literally live on the other side of where the fire occurred so when I heard the explosion and my TV fell off the wall I assumed the worst," the filmer told Newsflare.

"My Bronx neighborhood is burning all over again," the filmer said, in reference to the 17 who died in a fire in the Bronx on January 9.

The fire was reported on Fox Street and Intervale Avenue, according to officials.

Police say five officers in unknown condition and an 82-year-old woman in stable condition were taken to Lincoln Hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation.

New York City police say a 77-year-old woman has died and a 68-year-old is listed in stable condition, with officials confirming the fire was "due to a gas explosion."
