Stunned tourists watched as strong winds swept a camper's tent away.

The holidaymakers had pitcher their tents at the Khao Yai Thiang campsite in Nakhon Ratchasima province, Thailand on January 15.

However, one of the tents was swept when a gale blew in the area before it was nailed to the ground making it float over the area like a kite.

Footage shows the stunned tourists eyeing the flying tent buoyed by the powerful winds blowing near the mountaintop. It continued to glide around for several seconds before landing on the ground.

Onlooker Kanokwan Sumranrom said: 'I think the tent owner did not nail the tent peg to the ground properly, that's why it was blown away.'

No one was reported hurt in the incident as the tent drifted to the ground after almost a minute. The owner then rushed to pick it up before setting it in place in a new spot.
