Boris Johnson leaves Downing Street for PMQ amid 'Partygate' backlash

The UK Prime Minister left No. 10 Downing Street on Wednesday 19 January to attend Prime Minister's Questions (PMQs) in parliament.

There he discussed lifting Covid restrictions and battled demands to step down, from both the Opposition and members of his own party.

The demands relate to a series of scandals, dubbed Partygate, over parties held in Number 10 while the nation was in lockdown.
