Swift action by ticket-checking staff saved life of a passenger in western India's Maharashtra on January 15.

The incident took place in Mumbai's Dadar station, where CCTV footage captured the moment a passenger slips while attempting to board the moving train.

As he tries to jump inside he loses his balance and slips into the gap between the train and the platform and is dragged along the platform.

Luckily, an alert railway officer rushes over and pulls him to safety.

CCTV footage features the passenger attempting to board the moving locomotive, following which he jumps inside the compartment. Unfortunately, he loses balance and slides down in the gap between the train and the platform, posing a threat to life as he gets dragged along the coach. Luckily, an alert railway officer rushes and pulls the passenger to safety.

In the life-saving act, Nagendra Mishra, senior ticket examiner, noticed the passenger falling in the gap between the train and the platform. He rushed to the spot and managed to pull him out, thereby saving the passenger's life.
