A motorist attempted to stop men in a car allegedly siphoning diesel from a parked truck's fuel tank in southern China.

Video filmed in the city of Maoming in Guangdong Province on January 18 shows a motorist named Lai Qianlong driving to a car stopping next to a truck as someone stretching a pipe out of the window to the oil tank of the truck.

The car then reversed along the road immediately to try to flee and Lai chased the vehicle while calling the police.

As a car reversing on a main road could cause an incident, Lai turned on his hazard light as well as honked continuously to warn other people.

Lai crashed into the car for multiple times to try to force it to stop. Finally, the car stopped next to a garage and two men came out of the car to flee.

The case is under investigation and the police are searching the two men.

1月18日，广东茂名。信宜市一市民开车回家路上，发现一小轿车正在偷盗路边大货车柴油。于是他毫不犹豫把车头顶住偷油车，偷油车迅速倒车，热心市民一路追赶并打电话报警。随后偷油车想掉头逃窜，但市民直接驾车撞上偷油车，将其逼停。见无路可逃，偷油贼弃车逃窜。
记者通过走访，找到了当事人赖千隆先生，他还原了当时情形。
18日下午，赖千隆在搭载孩子放学回家时，发现对面车道一台轿车临停在路边大货车的油箱旁，车内男子正将一根疑似油管的物体伸向货车油箱，赖千隆怀疑其正在偷柴油，当即驾车逼近，对方见状立马倒车逆行，赖千隆遂驾车追截并拨打报警电话。
考虑到对方的倒车行为有可能发生车祸，赖千隆打开车辆危险信号灯并持续鸣笛，提示其它社会车辆注意躲避，期间两车发生多次碰撞。轿车倒行数百米后，最终在附近一小区的地下车库门前被逼停，车上两名男子弃车逃离现场。
当地警方表示，案件还在调查中，偷油贼还未抓到。（视频由广东台提供）
