A passenger's life flashed in front of his eyes when he fell from a moving train in southern India on Friday January 21.

The incident took place at Erode Junction station in Tamil Nadu state.

CCTV footage features the passenger attempting to alight a moving train after tossing his belongings onto the platform.

His hand or clothing appears to be caught on some metal railing as he does so though, dragging him along and partly under the train, as it rolls through the station.

Luckily, alert railway cops pull the man to safety and avert tragedy.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) head constables credited with the life-saving acts have been identified as Krishna and Palaniswamy.

In a life-saving act, the on-duty Railway Protection Force (RPF) head constables, identified as Krishna and Palaniswamy, showed vigilance and rescued the citizen who got dragged along the moving compartment while alighting.
