A youth from central India's Madhya Pradesh created the world record for lifting 55.44 kg (122.22 lb) weight by his shoulder blades.

Visuals shot on January 21 feature the record-breaker, Abhishek Choubey, in Sagar of the eponymous district.

Choubey displays his workout regime, following which he places a wooden block between his shoulder blades and pulls some weights.

Following his first record in 2016, a man in China made another record in the same field, reigniting the fire in Choubey, and he began practicing to break it. In the initial months of 2017, he could lift nearly 30 kg (66 lbs) and soon established the world record in his name by lifting 55.44 kg (122.22 lb) with his shoulder blades.

Choubey was just eight when he discovered his knack for using his shoulder blades for weightlifting. He used to pull his fellows after seating him on chairs while his mother worried for his health.

However, Choubey's father always supported him and even got him the wooden block with hooks that he used for weightlifting. Furthermore, he gained public support after making his first world record, a feat he always wanted to achieve.
