Britain's best-known conspiracy theorist, Piers Corbyn, spoke at a protest in London on Saturday 22 January opposing mandatory vaccination for NHS staff.

Thousands of people turned out to oppose the vaccine mandate, including National Health Service workers and supporters concerned about civil liberties. But they were joined by a number of anti-vaxxers and conspiracy theorists, including Piers Corbyn, the brother of former Labour leader Jeremy.

Among the eccentric views Piers is known for: he has claimed that Covid-19 is both a "hoax" and a "bioweapon", and that it is caused by 5G mobile phone masts. He has has also been accused of comparing vaccination to the Holocaust.

Workers in the UK's National Health Service (NHS) are required to be vaccinated by April or they could face the sack.

The need for a delay between jabs mean the process of firing what could be more than 70,000 as-yet unvaccinated staff could begin on 3 February.
