Fishmongers at a seafood supermarket in Vietnam had their work cut out on Sunday (January 23) when their boss brought in a grouper measuring more than 2 metres for them to clean.

The whopping fish weighed in at 170 kilos and was priced at 45 US dollars per kilo giving it a total value of 7,600 US dollars.

The owner of the supermarket said he bought the giant of the deep from fishermen in Da Nang who had caught it earlier on January 23.

With a diameter of 90 centimetres, one of the fishmongers said it was the largest grouper he's ever prepared for sale.

According to the owner of the seafood supermarket, he has just bought a giant red dot grouper weighing 170kg from Da Nang fishermen. This grouper is 2.2m long, 90cm in diameter. This is the biggest fish ever that the supermarket can buy.
The fish was caught by Danang fishermen on January 23. Then go to the supermarket. The fish is priced at 45 usd / 1kg. With a body weight of 170kg, the fish was sold for 7600 USD. The chefs then proceeded to process the fish and sell it to the customers.
The chef shared that this is the first time he has prepared such a giant grouper.
