The new Batgirl movie has been scrapped by Warner Bros Discovery months before its planned release. Reportedly budgeted at more than $70m (£58m), it was due to be shown in cinemas and on the streaming service HBO Max later this year. The New York Post reported that the decision had followed a poor reaction to test screenings. Footage from earlier this year of Batgirl filming taking place in Glasgow, where the main star, Leslie Grace, was spotted on set. A Glasgow University building in the Partick area of Glasgow was transformed into a US fire station and fake snow was used to complete the scene. Leslie is set to star alongside Brendan Fraser and Michael Keaton in the HBO movie due for release this year.
